UFC on FUEL TV 1 adds Dillashaw vs. Watson, Brookins vs. Rocha

A pair of contests from the UFC's lighter-weight divisions has been added to UFC on FUEL TV 1, as T.J. Dillashaw (4-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) meets Walel Watson (9-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Jonathan Brookins (12-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) faces Vagner Rocha (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC).

UFC officials today announced the two new contests.

UFC on FUEL TV 1 takes place Feb. 15 at the 10,000-seat Omaha Civic Auditorium in Nebraska. Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenberger clash in the welterweight headliner, and heavyweights Dave Herman and Stefan Struve meet in the co-headliner.

Dillashaw looks to rebound from his first professional loss, a surprising first-round TKO defeat at the hands of John Dodson in the final bout of "The Ultimate Fighter 14." Prior to the loss, the Team Alpha Male product had opened his career with four-straight wins and was favored by many to win the season's 135-pound tournament.

He know faces Watson, who looks to rebound from a narrow split-decision loss to Yves Jaboiun at December's UFC 140 event. The contentious result snapped a modest two-fight win streak for Watson, who earned a TKO win in an octagon debut matchup with Joseph Sandoval.

Meanwhile, Brookins, the winner of "The Ultimate Fighter 12," looks to rebound from a UFC Fight Night 25 decision loss to fast-rising Erik Koch. The loss snapped the former WEC and Bellator fighter's four-fight win streak, which included a unanimous-decision victory over Michael Johnson at the show's live finale.

Rocha, who makes his featherweight debut, had been expected to face Mike Brown at UFC on FX 1, but Brown was forced to pull out of the event due to injury. He now pushes his fight back in order to replace Brookins' original opponent, Rani Yahya, who was also scratched due to injury.
